Learn more about the 2022 theme below and discover how you can get involved! We know the world can feel tough and scary right now. These past months and years have been marked by multiple crises that have spared no one and have hit the most vulnerable people the hardest—from COVID-19, to the climate crisis, humanitarian emergencies and escalating conflictsBut despite this, there is so much hope and humanity to be found in the form of acts of kindness

Acts of kindness are all around us. No matter how big or small, they make a huge difference in people's lives. We believe that acts of kindness have the power to spark a ripple effect, to multiply, to spread across communities, countries and the whole world.

We believe in the power of kindness. So this World Red Cross and Red Crescent Day, we're celebrating all types of acts of kindness and showing how, together, they have truly global impact. Let's show the world we can all #BeHumanKIND!

World Red Cross and Red Crescent Day Celebration 2023

Our school’s Malaysian Red Crescent Society had organise a school level celebration of World Red Cross and Red Crescent Day for the year 2023. Due to the hot weather, the event was held in a much simple and short ceremony. The event which was held at the Open Hall, SK Jalan U3 was attended by our headmaster of SK Jalan U3, En. Md Hishamuddin Bin Md Yaacob, teacher-officer and all MRCS members. The programme included the singing of the National and MRCS anthem, pledge recitation, speech by the student representative, and officiating speech by the headmaster. Inspired by the themes of ‘Everything We Do Comes #fromtheheart’ and ‘MRCS: 75 years of humanitarian movement’, the event ended with a short poetry performance.
